Functional Skills English Level 2

The qualification that you will receive from passing this exam is a GCSE equivalent, meaning that it is worth the same recognition as any other GCSE grade in English. The Functional Skills English Level 2 exam will cover the same curriculum as other functional skills exams, which will equip you with highly applicable skills in day to day life and help prepare you for the working world.
The Functional Skills English Level 2 online exam is an online exam, which means you will be able to take the exam from home. All you will need to be able to sit the exam is a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone and a strong internet connection. On the day of the exam, an Ofqual-approved invigilator will be assigned to you and will email you inviting you to a video call where they will help you set up your exam.
The exam itself is split into 3 sections: Reading, Writing and Speaking, Listening and Communication. Each of these sections will roughly last 1 hour each and will all be testing your abilities and knowledge of the English language in different ways. We recommend that you spend between 50-60 hours of revision before taking your exam. Once you have passed all 3 of these sections, you will receive your qualification and a certificate either electronically or via post.
