GCSE Maths 9-1 Density, Mass and Volume Revision

At York Private Tutors we offer expert GCSE Maths tuition along with resources to help our students succeed, not only in lessons but also at home when they are revising for exams.

In today’s blog we are looking at density, mass and volume revision as this is a topic area that contains some fundamental skills that are crucial for many other topic areas within the GCSE Maths syllabus. Students have to be able to rearrange the three variable equation as well as substitute in values and be able to convert units readily. Mass, Volume and Density questions are often level 4,5 or 6 so most students are expected to attempt them and they can appear in both the foundation and higher tier GCSE Maths papers. The most common error that students make when answering density questions is forgetting to convert units, please make sure you look out for this as nearly every question will require the conversion of units!

Whether your child is struggling with density, mass and volume questions or any other area of the GCSE Maths specification, York Private Tutors can help. Contact us today if you are looking to book a GCSE Maths tutor in York or you require any further information about our tuition services.
